Forget
I cut into my fleshAnd watch the blood pour out
I can see it is not red...
Not blue,
But it is black
Poisonis blood long since dead
And as I watch a single tear
From my eye does fall
I stand and stare
As my past is reflected in those rivers of blood:
My first date
My first kiss
My first flower
My first love
All of my heart aches
And pain
And all of this sorrow
And all of the tears
It's all pouring out in my memories
As I soon forget
Why I cut neatly past the flesh
And I forget who or what was upsetting me
My tears stop
And I care for my wound
I'm sure tomorrow will make me remember
But for now I forget
And I finally smile
My first real smile
For over ten years
