now what

now what

been having sex like bunnies

and organisms like opium

now what?

we’re in love - soul mates

for life and happy as clams

now what?

gonna get married and

live like cupids in a fountain garden

forever

now what?

such beautiful babies we made and

cute enough to win the atlantic city

kiddie pageant or become

JC Penney catalog models and

smart as little Einstein’s (E=MC2)

now what ?

the dream house complete

with riding lawn mower

and a fake gold fish pond

Now what?

hubbies’ ass is getting to

be as big as the farmers

prize cow at the state fair

now what?

mommas been hitting

on the chardonnay at the

toddlers play dates at bit

too much and making pop tarts

for dinner and wears a one piece

at the beach and pool

now what ?

poppa got a promotion

to start saving for college

but his new boss is a psycho-sadist

now he’s taken valium

and looks at porno in the basement

now what?

can’t wait till the kids

grow up so we can get

some piece around here

and sex again too and a cruise

to alaska instead of

a two day schlep to the magic kingdom

now what ?

here we are alone at last

trying to figure out

if there’s anything good

to watch on the history channel

now what?

here come the grand kids

and golf lessons the book club and

silver grand marquis with florida

plates

now what…

now what………..?

in between all the

now what’s

is what they call living life

I liked the concept of keeping it going with ads to your post, and as you know mine are in the forum under another forum subject line. Good write!

now what

Late Summer Eve

How many more late summer eves will I see
where the sunsets amber and tress
stare silent and patient waiting for autumns stirring breezes.

How many more late summer eves will I see where flocking
birds fly effortlessly overhead with barely a headwind
to struggle against, seeking to nest before the dark of warm
night.

How many more late summer eves will I see where it's so quiet
and still that I'm certain that this moment will
last forever like every other moment lasts forever.

Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
