SOULMATE

Indescribable beauty

of heart-stopping intensity

where uncertainty lies,

hiding

in so many places

new to a spirit

young and inexperienced

in life’s many offerings.

Let me be the guide

to

love -

unconditional

giving where receiving

is not a path

and why

should it be?

Sent on a mission

of lifetimes shared

and ways known

and

unknown but

together always,

sharing, caring.

Newness in a

world lost

and separate but familiar

with one

always there, always known --

always.

Remember me but

forget me past.

Sent anew to

share. A quaking hand

discloses secrets,

dark, solemn, private - yet

known. An empathic soul

at the side of an angel

fallen.

Soul-mates across

infinite space where

planet and moon in perfect

harmony, cause

the tides to rise

and life to flourish.

Timeless tales

told by two

testing the icy waters

of areas unfamiliar and

well traveled.

All is told in twin satellites.

Eyes bright with hope and truth

yet

dark with fright and concern

for -

what I know not yet

but restless nights

of future days to come

shall upon darkness

shed new light

and new life

for one with whom

my destiny

lies. Choices chosen

and roads relived for

all of time.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
