THE POETRY OF STARDRIFT

STARDRIFT'S THE WORST THIRD OF A DAY FOR A LADYBUG

STARDRIFT'S WORST THIRD OF A DAY.

This poem is an excellent piece of "pathetic fallacy," wherein the poet gives a human mind to an insect, and then makes an incursion into that mind to sustain the theme of self-preservation and caution, as well as his feelings for, and his keen and sensitive observation of things and creatures of Nature.

Stardrift ,, you display , as in your other creations, that you are a perfectionist in your mastery of the iambic pentameter and your impeccable rhyming scheme.

My rating for this very sensitive and immaculately crafted piece is 10+

Re: THE POETRY OF STARDRIFT

Might be wrong..........I'm confused but I'll start............If ya want a chain or just single here ya go on a insect......

I walk fast and scurry
In the deep dark hall
Fast as a rabbit
I smartly move to a wall

Then the heavens quake
Fast as a snake
Slithering in the darkness
To catch it's prey and take

I am the roach
A simple bug
Better then ever
A natural slug

Quick I go
Faster then a snake
To hide in the hole
That I make

LOL.......there ya go!!! gulp

Ah-ah-ah! I am impressed by your consistently perfect abab rhyming scheme suggesting the furtive and scurryingn nature of roaches. Nice little lyrical piece , vivid word imagery conceived by sklful and careful choice of monosyllabic and dissyllabic words. I must read some more of you.

Correct the typo , please................"prey" instead of "pray"
