Think Before you War

Think Before you War

War talk
War walk.

War news
War blues.

War looks
War Books.

War penetrates
War exaggerates.

Wars involve
Wars don’t solve.

Wars try to guard
Wars die too hard.

Wars people all suffer
Wars weapons get tougher.

War mongers getting rich
Wars mangled beyond stitch.

Wars bloody and saturated mop
Wars starters can’t control

Re: Think Before you War

Handsome guy with the deep chin cleft reminds me of Douglas....but yours is cuter.
Anyway, I read your tome on war and never in my life did I see so much devoted
to that one obnoxious dirty word. You are par excellente and therefore I give you 100% and now
go to the head of the room and take a deep bow. Wow you are magnifique and
I surmise you are an angel flit flitting around in your quest to spread the word there
is never a need to use that word.

It really invades my senses when people use the word fuc---" which in the dictionary
means to dig. Yet, nobody lets out a yell when they use the word war[.

I tell you, you with the gorgeous chin cleft, let me tell you something about me.
My quest is not as lofty as yours; yet, whenever I come across a dictionary....I make
sure I white out the word war. And, then I say I'm sorry for saying that big bad
dirty word.

Re: Think Before you War

Love you too and I just found out from the internet the following and don't know if I can bring it here. If not just delete it or please do your usual newsworthy thingy. And, without much more ado,
let me carve the following words here taken from an ABC newsletter from an Esposito newsy and I think Brian Ross. Here goes something our highest leader left out of his war speech last night:

U.S. intelligence officials have concluded there are only about 100 al Qaeda fighters in the entire country.

cool smile

Think Before you War

U.S. intelligence officials have concluded there are only about 100 al Qaeda fighters in the entire country.

I believe that 100% --

Why would they hang around ??

Look at a map -- Afghanistan is on one side of Iran and Iraq is on the other side .

If they want to contain that country for whatever reason they think it a good reason -- that's what they should tell us in place of a bunch or lies -- if we wanted to help oppressed villagers
we would be at war with half the word including a bunch of places right here --
Post Katrina is still a mess !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not believe one word spoken last night - not a single one --

How can we believe anything after WMD --------------

Re: Think Before you War

You reveal many terrible but true things about war and the horrors it creates.I pray that all mankind will learn to communicate peacefully with one another and be more compassionate, supportive and understanding of one another.thanks for sharing this well worded and quite memorable poem.

Re: Think Before you War

A war of the spirit is when a daily battle that a person fights within themself between
thinking good thoughts and doing compassionate and caring things for other people or thinking bad evil thoughts and giving into the darker side of human nature.I hope that my explanation will help you get a better understanding of this.

Think Before you War

Thanks ---

I think a war of the spirit is needed to oppose a war of bombs and bullets --

I think governments count on it's citizens not having the time - patience - and commitment -

to carry on a war of the spirit long enough to resist --

So I will agree that I am fighting a war of the spirit - yes .

The headlines today are focused on one Billionare " Tiger Woods "

and not 30,000 American Soldier -- what does this tell us of our society --

I hope my personal war of the spirit spreads as fast as the Tiger story -- but sadly I know it will not -- but at least I feel that I have done what I feel to be my duty today --

Re: Think Before you War

Thanks Terry, You explained my thoughts well. And yes, I agree Poet that a war of the spirit needs to happen for wars to start and end. I think I said it recently - reconciliation.

Think Before you War

We should all be allowed to speak and be heard --

and we will ...............

I believe ---

I voted for this man because he had a plan for peace ---

He even won a peace prize ????

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
