Frosty Warmth

Frosty Warmth

Shivers and chills of cold air
creeping into skin and even bones.
Winds sing haunting whistling tones.
Sky's blue hue's encompasses with flair.

A time to cozy up by the hearth of fire.
Hypnotizing yellow streams flickers
reaching warmth into one as liquors.
Hot chocolate and coffee we admire.

Will the modern electric be spared
or will flicker of candlelight glow
in the still night window's show?
Entertainment is of times past, shared.

Encompass reading, storytellers, and games.
Musicians play for the song of singer's.
Notes flows from their talented fingers.
Writers plot grows with different names.

Lover's snuggle tenderly with care.
Renewing mind and soul, blocking the cold.
Giving courage to face life again bold.
Two may stand better than one may fare.

The cold then may warm humanity in the end.
For the interaction it brings with others,
may warm our hearts toward our sisters & brothers.
Bonding friendship and compassion;  time spend.

So reminds me of times past when companionship was one of the greatest entertainments...not all of the isolation that people have now. Good write.

Loved it, its flow wrapped me in a warm blanket, made me stand and throw it off, then look forward to nestling quietly listening music, reading a book or just holding someone. If you find a moment, I have something of interest for everyone, be well k

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
