    God and Me
    God is the ocean
    And I am a wave.
    I'm born and I grow
    Quite impressive to see.

    You can hear me and watch me
    As I move along.
    I am part of the ocean
    And yet I am me.

    And then when I die
    And just fade away
    I'm not gone at all
    I'm still part of the sea.

    aggie, Ocean poems and stories always reel me in. And I agree with GMcookie on the Jainist view here. Regardless of how this poem is interpreted it is a calming beauty, ginga

    I love this and the message is so true. We are a part of all that God has created, a web of life not just physically but also spiritually, and when we die we are made part of the sea of spirits that form the web that God has created. At least that is my take on it. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem with us.
