Good Friday portrayal
Silence creeps on the horizon
people seem nowhere to be seen
it’s Good Friday; they must be home
church has a few people though,
giving worship to Christ in the Tabernacle.
The liturgy conveys like a doleful theater
of Christ’s passion and crucifixion
His agony and death on the cross
reminds his followers to belive him.
Extremely in sorrow to recall
how Christ has undergone his torture
humiliating in a way to be condemned
challenged and provoked with anger.
Christ’s words and afflictions
are like living refrains for reconciliation
His sufferings to endure the torture
generate a vision of love for all.
Being a true disciple in many actions
may reflect the message he aims for
and that matters to be recalled
with faith and depth throughout life.
