HE SAID-SHE SAID

HE SAID-SHE SAID

He said the grass was greener on the other side

She said the sun would shine with mighty yellow pride

But I have the blues

He said she wore red rose-colored glasses

She said time fades to black as it passes

But I have the blues

He said he stood in the purple rain

She said she saw red and went insane

But I have the blues

He promised to keep my skies from turning gray

She said she could spin gold from hay

But I have the blues

He said envy would make me see green

She said his brown eyes made her fiend

But I have the blues

He said he was true blue

She said she was true blue too

He said

She said

And I have the blues

What a colorfully, creative poem. I like it. And I'm sorry you have the blues, but it's better than being black and blue. Hope you share more soon.
