Poem Commentary

A journey of heartbreak that ends with happiness.

Heartbreak

In her room she sits alone
refusing company.
Silently she sobs
trapped in misery.
Her spirit is now broken
her heart is torn away
Because of one dumb guy
who wasn't worth the pain.
He doesn't even know
and if he did he wouldn't care
Because now he's found another
who he says has got more flare.
But soon she'll be over him
and with another guy
Who'll treat her even better
and won't feel the need to lie.
Now she's having fun
and hanging with her friends
Now he's hurt and hollow
like he should be in the end.

Wow he sound like a real jerk, I am glad that you got away while you can,he is the one who got hurt in the end but that is his problem and not yours anymore. I really liked it that was very serious words.

Troubles of the heart, we have all been there. Glad to see justice served in the end.

Relationships can be a roller coaster ride no matter the age. We sometimes don't even know what makes this happen, but if we look closely ... we usually jumped too quickly, our wants, needs and desires too great to resist. Nice write for its length, like the circle effect of what comes around, goes around. be well

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
