    Hopes and Dreams


    Empty it lay
    Unfinished, discarded
    Inspiration betrayed
    Sorry I started

    Fragmented Life
    Distraction and pain
    Nothing much matters
    Life to regain

    One call, one thought
    One step at a time
    Space to consider
    The loss will be mine

    Just a small spark
    Ignited the flames
    Life was still there
    The concept remains

    Then it's alive
    Dreams bloom again
    Want has returned
    Time to begin

    It is another good poem. But, I do not like the fact that you are trying to rhyme the words so much. It is a ploy of those who really have nothing to say. I think you are talented, and do not take offense to my words, I am only human like you. I think if you did this poem without the distraction of rhyming every other word, your point would be better served.

    Thanks for your thougts. I do not always rhyme. If you look at some of my other poems you will see I use other styles. Poems come to me in one sitting. It's like they are given to me and some thoughts lend themselves to rhyme and others do not. If you don't like this poem, you will not like my last poem, Doll in the Christmas tree.

    Lovely! I see happy, then sad, happy then sad, h-. It is amazing how strong we humans are. "I think myself happy, therefore I am." Beautiful poetry here.

    You're right. It's the fabric of our lives. Dreams become displaced as we try to meet the needs of those we love. We have to constantly regroup. We need to form friendships that lift us up and encourage us. That's why this web site is good for everyone that participates. Thank you

    I like this one! It's beautiful language, which is key to beautiful poetry. The rhyme is subtle but sweet and apparent. I like the contrasting beginning and end. I can't find a bad thing to say about this poem! Fantastic job!
