I Can Only Hope

I sit and watch as they hug by the door,
He's so happy and She is too
They are so awesome together
I smile my man is sitting on the far end of the room
I know we are happy and I remember when our love was young
We were young and foolish just as these two
But these two are just perfect for  each other
I can see it in his eyes when he smiles at her
Her eyes when she playfully hits him
It's a love that could make or break a relationship
At one point in time we all knew this love
It's passion overwhelming and the lust that it brings
Some people run from this love
Others stand and face it

Those who run find themselves in endless loneliness

Where those who face it find eternal love

It's a love that we all have
And as we grow so does it
One day maybe we can love enough to forgive all
Who had done us wrong
I can only hope that, it does
For I continue to fight the "love" between me and...
Her...the women who gave me life
I fight it knowing only all the pain that came from just living with her
But as I see those two smiling and whispering to each other
I hope love can grow with in me enough to
Forgive her for the damage in my mind
I can only hope.....
