I Don't Do Stress

I Don't Do Stress

There are conditions that I do not like; but I do not stress I just take a hike.

At times I might be so angry that I want to fight; instead I will just calm myself and do what's right.

People have a way of getting on my nerves; they are driving their car around a wet slippery curve.

Yet I will hold my peace and go on about my way; because they have no idea that they have been saved on this day.

Sometimes my temper may want to explode and my hands may want to take hold; my fist may desire to make a person fold...but I don't.

Because patience is better than unwarranted oppossion; always remember that God knows best; because each day that we live is just another test.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
