    I knew
    You walked up from behind me and said you know that I love you
    I didn't want to see your face I knew what you were about to do
    I told myself not to watch you walk away
    I knew in my heart you were leaving me today
    When I heard you close the door
    on my knees I drownded in my tears
    All the promises you made how you'd love me for fifty years
    The phone still rings you say how much you miss your wife
    You made this decision honey so have a nice life
    It was so hard for me to trust again
    I put my heart in your hands you just threw it in the sand
    Stop telling me you miss me you must have nothing left
    Do your thing baby because I love myself

    Been on both sides of that one. Writing confirms many things, puts them in order for your heart to remember. Enjoyed the words.
