    i know you

when ppl look at your pics i bet they see a thug.
they see whats on the surface, they dont  look deep enuough
i can tell you need love, and  a big hug.
i know, your really not all that tough
ppl can choose to be afraid of you,
cuz you have a gun  in your waistband
you claim to bang, and wear the color blue
its not  loaded but  it feels good in your hand
you act like you r this big bad man
but i know deep down theres a scared boy
i know the real you. i was your number one fan
but thats all gone , my heart is not a toy
soo go on continue to get high
sell drugs, get money,  be all you wanna be
but i have to say good bye cuz this bullshit isnt for me

Me likey! Reminds of several people whove chose that path at one point or another in their lives. That same option was once given to me but, i shook it to the left. Good piece!

not to echo the previous comment but you seem to fall for the same guy all over again, if hes packing a gun he is a THUG, mixed up in drugs, it isnt good! At least you are getting wiser and turning your back on the life. Your writing has matured as well, this is much more insightfull of thought and character than your earlier stuff, keep working at it, try and write on some positive themes something more detached from YOU, grow your skills..

Good girl. You hangin wit duh wrong crowd. Git rite sistah.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
