    I only see you with my eyes closed

    I only see you with my eyes closed, I dare not open them
    The heavenly smile that melts my heart,
    The darkest eyes that threaten to drown me,
    They stop time instantly when I stare into them,
    The sweet voice that puts a nightingale to shame,
    Surely you are sent from the heavens to teach us mere mortals what beauty is,

    I only see you with my eyes closed,
    And others may laugh and wonder at my folly,
    My vision is a dream and I like it that way,
    Don’t tell me I’m mad don’t call me delusional,
    Because I’m not like you, my queen only comes to me when I sleep, and whispers words of passion and love to no end

    I only see you with my eyes closed, so please don’t wake me
    Let me slumber night and day,
    I would rather die than be awake, than face the truth,
    That we can’t be more than what we are now,
    Blind my eyes that I may never open them,
    So I can forever gaze at the beauty that is thee,
    I only see you with my eyes closed, for if I open them,
    You don’t belong to me……..

    this poem is tight dang the poem ended painful that you knew that she was unfaithful like the song unfaithful of rihanna. dang this is tight this is awesome dreamer you rock! keep doing your thing.

    Another beautiful and moving poem. I wholeheartedly agree with Ladypoet. You should really look at taking this to the next level, submit your work to publishers, or turn these into songs as I previoiusly suggested to get the word out. I see great things for you as well, and more people need to hear these words.

    Damn that ending just stung my heart like an unwelcoming knife. Thats that deepness for you. Let me make a recommendation. You as well should consider publishing. I mean that, because I read your work and I see messages. i see signs, I see visions, I see time. Time that you've put in to create a masterpiece. I like this one as well. Keep writing.
