    Poem Commentary

It happens in an instant, and for a wishful moment in time, we still pray for eternal love, knowing it maybe never was.

    I saw your face

    There is

    A smile on your face

                Without consideration

    For the place

                Seeing you

                            Takes my heart

    I am

    Still desiring to be seen

                Without consideration

    For the place

                Seeing you

                            Takes my heart

    Are you also

    Desiring to be seen

                Without consideration

    For the place

                Seeing me

                            Takes your heart?

    There is

    A smile on my face

                Without consideration

    For the place

                Seeing me

                            Takes your heart.

You are so right Jean Marie. Though all is predetermined in life, we never know until the moment strikes us. We never give up. Fine write!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
