I want to reach out,
Haven't seen you in so long,
You're here,
In front of me,
You're sad,
Eyes full of tears,
Let me help you,
I scream,
Yet my lips don't move,
I want to help,
I stay yet,
I watch you fall,
Clatter to the ground,
And there I am,
Lying beside you,
Cold yet warm,
The ground beneath your face,
Rest,
Rest at last,
Sleep gentle one,
Until the moon again rises,
And calls to us.
