I Wish
Wish I could see the sunrise,
in your bright green eyes.
Wish I could be the first to hear,
your sleepy morning sighs.
Wish it were my arms,
to rouse you with a hug.
Wish my feet could brush against your's,
before they touched the rug.
Wish my lips could warm your smile,
before your coffee cup.
Wish my name was on your mind,
the moment you woke up.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
