I'm Missing You

Poem Commentary

If I could tell you; time stood still when my best freind died. The pain will not go away, Some memories cheer me up and make me laugh out loud. But a true friend is unredeemable. Time alone knows the price we pay;with the lost of a love one, so dear.

I'm Missing You

My tears are true,
Heart's so blue,
Secrets were Ne'er told.
Broken hearts,

We shared our souls,
Shattered lives, never unfold.
Hoping,

If you were only here.

you could stop these tears.
I am living

You can't hear
Every thing I've felt
Hurt.
Pain,
Like my heart's being slain.

The road didn't bend

When we were friends.

Now left alone I'm

Cold,

Lonely,

Untrusting,

Sometimes mad,

You went away,

It made me sad.

I never knew you'd be gone

Happiness,
Laughter,

Remember those days?
Phone calls at 3:00AM,

Sleepy at work,

The next day,

We didn't care.

Beyond your grave

Friendship lives,

But you are gone,

Vanished,

Taken flight,

In the dark  of the night.

Without you I fade too,

You're, my best friend'

How I miss you.

Sounds like a wonderful friendship..I hope that with time the ache will not be felt as keenly as the great memories you've shared.. Nice write.

I am afraid the pain won't go away. She died in 1995, we had 30 years of wonderful friendship.. There can never be another "Ruby," -she's gone.. We were Nurse together. She accidentally got stuck by an infected Hepatitis needle. It lead to cancer of liver inexpediently. It happened so quickly, no time to get a liver transplant. Thanks for caring. ;-(.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
