    In a Perfect World

Close your eyes and imagine, picture this
    if you will.
A star laden heaven and flowering fields.

A world with no wars, where we all get along.
Where peace is the answer and values are strong.

Where limitations aren't limited, to what's in
    our mind.
Where harsh words aren't spoken, only those that are kind.

Where the children are cherished, the elderly
    revered.
And marriages still last, all through the years.

Where cancer's the rust, we find on our
    cars.
And aids could be cured, with the light from
    a star.

If it were only that easy, to set the world
    right.
We would all go to heaven, under Gods'
    guiding light.

Now! open your eyes and make it happen.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
