    In Reminiscence Of You

    In Reminiscence Of You

Torn inside, I reminisce on the past
The hugs, the kisses, the smiles, the laughs.
Our love was so strong, our love was so true.
But you broke my heart; and did what you had to do.
On the outside I smile, on the inside I feel pain.
I feel like you played me, like our love was a game.
Here I cry, broken, torn, shattered without you.
Sometimes my thoughts can’t help but wonder about you.
Torn inside I reminisce on the past.
How we separated so sudden, so fast.
The love we once shared, the memories once created.
What we used to have hasn’t faded.
I can’t help but remember what we used to share.
But now I feel you don’t remember, you don’t care.
I’m trying to rid you of my mind,
    I don’t understand why I can’t leave you behind.
Everyday I try not to reminisce on the past.
But everyday I’m wondering why we couldn’t last.
Forever what we used to have will be on my mind.
But loving someone who doesn’t love me back is a waste of time.
Everyday it’s a struggle to keep my mind off you.
I don’t know why, I just can’t get over you.
Torn inside I reminisce on the past.
    Sometimes wishing we could last.
But I guess this is stuff you already knew.
I can’t comprehend why I still love you.
Every other poem I wrote, every word I’ve ever said its all still true.
I just wish I could get over you.
Torn inside I reminisce on the past.
I miss you, but it’s over. The past is,
    The past.
