    Invade

Thinking of all the things that need to be done
suddenly thoughts of you start to invade the mind
    Taking over
    Changing thought patterns
try to stop the thoughts from invading
    At times I win
Others times I just give in
    The invasion is so strong
    Then other invaders come
It doesn’t take some long to know they waited to long
Others try to right their wrong
They say they have a cure
    But it’s just a lure
For they want to be the one invading my mind.. Just take over
How can they when I can’t even keep you out
    What are they thinking about
They can’t do it like you
The way you come in so subtle
Then the attacks start to build up
Growing stronger and stronger each time
    Abruptly the invading thoughts stop
Right before I feel like my head will pop
    Then I rest.. meditate.. Rejuvenate
Waiting for the next time you invade

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
