    • It's been years. . . And stepping back in feels like I've found a lost home 💜

    It isn't a box

    Sunlight shines through and
    laughter warms her heart.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

Rain reminds her to be happy and
the holes in the walls allow her to see all the fun.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

Most mornings she wakes to find
    the walls slightly less restrictive
and the fog not quite so suffocating.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

Her soul screams with passion and
    her heart stays kind.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

    Boldness runs rampant and
    her confidence remains newly blossomed.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

New walls are knocked down and
    her hair stays sun-kissed.
    So don't worry, it isn't a box.

Except a box is still a box.

glad that there are holes in this box. though life can be suffocating. I remember a line from childhood book about a bear escaping a box" mama mama, I went to town, inside out side, upside down".

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
