    IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS

    JULY 27, 2009

    It's the little things that start
    To build up in your heart;
    That makes your day go bad,
    And makes you fell so sad.
    It's the little things that start.

    It's the little things in life
    That builds up all the strife;
    Makes you lose your cool,
    And makes you feel the fool.
    It's the little things in life.

    It's the little things each day
    That goes wrong along your way;
    that makes you feel so mad,
    And takes away your glad.
    It's the lttle things each day.

    It's the little things that get you down
    And causes you to frown;
    That builds up there inside,
    To fester and abide.
    It's the little things that get you down.

    So often when my husbad will ask me what is wrong, all I can say is a little bit of everything. This poem said it well. Hard to let of the steam off a little at a time, letting it blow all at once, that problem is mine. Write on.....

    Yes it seems a lot of little things can build into a mountain. It is hard to remember not to take it out on others around us. Nice job.

    thank you Gentle T. It's funny you should read this one now, I just forgot my own advice to watch out for the little things in life. I just turned a molehill into a mountain a few minutes ago and now, my peace is gone. We know how wer should handle these little things, but we don't always choose to follow our own advice.

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
