Jester
dancing in the middle of the roomtelling jokes and doing tricks
the bells on my hat jingling
the pattern i ware looks silly
but as the faces stare
i only try to get laughs
that which i often get
for it's my job
my silly stories
my silly dances
I'm the jester of the court
a job i do well
so as the king stares
and the queen laughs
the prince catches my eye
hansom as he is
my heart races
i trip in my performance
earning me a laugh from the king
the prince giggles and comes me
the only female jester
in the world
i do love this prince...
but how could he love me
for i am a jester
still it seems he is like me
silly and strange, he does love me?
