Joy & Bliss
I have written about pain for many years,
but it's time to let all that go.
Now isn't the time for anger and tears,
not with so much love to show.
I have found the one that is my life,
she has finally returned to me.
Our love is still strong, no more strife,
and only a new future to see.
Time has changed us both for sure,
but her beauty is still so clear.
And when I look in those eyes of hers,
I can feel my soul shed a tear.
I don't know how many love like this,
although many poets proclaimed
to have known this depth of joy and bliss,
and a passion that's untamed.
To be with her is to be fully alive;
no other has made me this way.
And when we are parted it isn't contrived
for we know there will be another day.
My heart is finally healed of it's wounds,
and it beats with a brand new song.
And if love could be measured in pounds
there is no one on earth that strong.
At last I have found peace in my self;
at last died the noise of the din.
I've taken my heart down from it's shelf
and proudly put it back in.
