Just a Dream

Poem Commentary

OK, not really great as a poem but it was a real dream. It's scary sometimes, the things my brain conjures up when I should be resting... I only included this because it was interesting. Well, to me anyway. :) Any dream interpreters out there, feel free to go wild on this one! Lol!

Just a Dream

Unemployed, fired repeatedly,
(That's how the dream starts out.)
The only job I can get involves taking care of old men
And their obnoxious dogs.
The actress who reminds me of my mother
Is then kicked off a reality show.
(What is that supposed to mean?)
A long lost friend reappears
After a long soul-searching journey,
And all he's learned is how to freestyle rap to house music
While juggling bowling pins.
(Don't ask me why.)
He partnered with some friends from our high school days
And came to me because
They needed a 'Davey Jones' to be complete.
(Yes, from the Monkees.)
Then I was injured and went to a gas station for first aid.
I felt that my pain and bleeding was more important
Than the discomfort of strangers.
There followed a miscommunication,
Something derogatory that rhymed with 'Davey Jones'
(Not sure what that would even be...)
And my long lost friend retracted his friendship again.
So I was left alone
With my stooped old men
And their goofy-looking dogs.
(Did I mention that I'm a cat person?)

This is wonderfully creative, Simone!! Your subconscious is one seriously mixed up dude, though... LOL!! But really, this was awesome... and NO, I would never try to take a stab at interpreting. Even though I want to :)
