Kenneth

You're convoluted and oblivious

to an obvious point

in so many ways I could never understand.

How can you forgive her like you say?

So many reasons why I label her

departure so shallow and grave.

Damn your Queen!

Your Goddess!

Holier than thou Mother!

She broke this!

Left us astray!

Our roof,

this shelter,

your Quarter.

But you still talk and pray

And say its okay!

She’s the one who killed the passion deep inside!

She”s the one who shoved that dreadful dagger in your eye!

She did it all to you!

She did this to us and you!

Through and through

You sit there unaware and medicated

 staring at us

with dead and distant eyes.

In so many ways i'll never understand-

how you look past our way

and never say a thing.

Leaving us crying in your shallow grave.

Damn your Queen!

Your goddess!

holier than thou Mother!

She broke this!

Left us astray!

Our roof,

this shelter,

your Quarter.

But I still talk and pray

That there will be a day!

That someone will leave her

astray! And betray!

You’re the one who killed the passion deep inside!

She’s the one who shoved that evil dagger in our eyes!

I give all thanks to you!

I got to hand it to her!!

Forever protected by both of your past

and never asking why.

I still never really ask why!!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
