    Lee's Way

    Fluid in motion,
    never grows stale.

    Philosophy he followed,
    yet always leaving a trail.

    Crossed the mighty waters,
speaking Cantonese outside the Chinese gung fu.

    Professed in the States,
    opening minds anew.

Endless ambition led him to the grave,
yet jeet kune do thrives still today.

    Breathe in his wisdom,
    embrace his diligent Way.

    Never forget his teachings,
for he persevered more than most.

    Conformity was his enemy,
as he was a great Chinese host.

[They always want to know the way to win. They never try to accept the way to lose.] To me he was the most alive person I ever studied. Finding the true path to the beauty of individuality. And of the most sincerest form of confidence. His teaching of water is something that keeps my thoughts lubricated every day. Good piece to an underrated philosopher.

Thanks for input. You are the first person to ever respond to the poems I submitted on this site. Am currently trying to contain inspiration and motivation to follow through with new writing projects. Thanks again.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
