    Legacy

Look upon this path laid with good intentions.
Imprints left by age old warriors.
Those unaware ghosts whose legacy pours from my soul.
They who entwined my spirit with turmoil and strength of heart to stand my ground.

Was the order of this world given consideration unto the fate of my being?
Would proper thought have prevented my feet from pacing upon this ground?

Condemn those ideas that persons of color must succumb to the idiocy imposed by a dominant culture.
When all the world's people bear skin the color of bronze.

What then, a new dominant culture, a reformed system of the violent existence we now possess?
Will our inventive intelligence bring about our demise.
Creating the very thing that eliminates us all.

Consider our beloved country, thinking we can police the world every where we leave our mark in the sand.
Bearing a peaceful flag of democracy, we march declaring our truths to be the righteous road to FREEDOM.

Teaching the conquered justifiable violence is endured to learn self governing.
Sacrificing youth and vitality to expand the democratic dream.

We trust the untrue, set them out to lead. Why are we shocked when they bring us to our knees.
Caught completely off guard or surprised when they burn our sacred symbols.

Covet this legacy held in our hands, respect the freedom given us with every last breath our youth release defending what we hold dear.

There can not be a democracy where a monetary system exists which makes war profitable. Great work!

sounds like the langue of many of my poems , some lay indreact in the path of others , and some lay face to face with the worlds warriors.
