Letter to My Bank

Letter to My Bank

You take and take no matter how much I give
until my account is too low to live.

We all make mistakes on occasion,
then you throw in a late fee as a financial abrasion.

You cut me deep when you leave me on hold
as I wait forever to fit your perfect mold.

No longer a person but a monthly pay check,
if that stupid thing bounces then my whole account is a wreck.

It doesn’t matter whose fault it is.
You’re heartless whether it is hers or his.

We can call and complain that it’s not our fault
But you still take my money to your pending vault.

A week and my money will be returned.
Oh joy, until then my pockets will just have to burn.

How does it feel to leave your best customers broke.
Sometimes I feel like your mistakes are nothing but a joke.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience you say!
That’s nice but I’d like my money back sometime today.

So I’ll wait this week in hopes of an easy fix.
I really hope your online helper makes sure this sticks.
