    Life As It Is

    Each point of view
    A lie taken to be true.
    One point of perception;
    One line, skewed by
    Personal experience
    Doomed to be changed -
    Ground down & shaped
    With each lesson learned or
    By each opportunity missed

    Can I ever see truth?
    Like the eye of an insect
    Can I see my world
    Through a million points of
    Perception?
    Can I, myself become
    So fluid in the shape
    Of my my perception;
    Allowing my being to
    Exist
    Only in the experience
    Of the "Now"?

    If so,
    Only then
    Can I finally experience
    Life as it is.

    END

    I wrote a short piece, though not poetry, similar to this. I really like this. We have some very similar thoughts my friend.

    If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
