    Poem Commentary

Wrote this poem last night while thinking of my relative. It didn't post so I did something wrong revised it a bit and here it is again.

    LOOK OUT FOR THE DEVIL

When the Devil starts his work their is rhythm in his beat
He will clap his tiny  hands
And will stomp his little feet
So if this is what you believe
    Then you're headed for defeat
It's why he's called the Devil

    His hands are grasping talons
Those hooves are shod in giant clogs
The illusions he creates are to keep you in a fog
    He's the master of deception
Who will drag you through the bog
Why not? He is the Devil

Just walk the straight and narrow
For the path he cuts is wide
He will whisper in your ears
create a sense of foolish pride
    Isolate you from all good
Until He's sure you're on his side
Oh he's clever, he's the Devil

    He's the champion of evil
    Engineering your defeat
    The winner's been declared
The one he simply cannot beat
    You better change your corner
Or you'll have to face the heat
The champ already beat the Devil

    The Victor grants free will
He won't play those dirty games
He lets you make free choices
Love and Mercy are his names
He's paid for all your sins
So do not act so lame
For soon he'll crush the Devil

1 Peter 5:8 - [Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.] Indeed his snares are clever. He knows the evil that lays in us. A good poem with eyes wide open. Some things he offers are tempting to the fullest.....

Why thanks, we all have to look out for the Devil. let one little thing go wrong and he's ready to whisper all that negative mess in our ears.

I wrote that and sent it to my minister who liked it and he said exactly the same as you.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
