LORD, I DID IT AGAIN
May, 2, 1989
Lord, I did it again;
I've wandered away from you.
In your presence, is love and peace;
In the world you pay your dues.
You paid the price for me,
So why did I walk away?
I never meant to leave you,
As I went my willful way.
The things of this world don't attract me.
I never wanted them at all,
But here I am among them;
So guide me lest I fall.
Somewhere I left your presence,
But where, I must be shown.
Was it when I forgot to ask your will,
And took a path all my own?
I never meant to go alone;
I wanted to be with you,
I'm sorry I never asked your way,
So I could always be near you.
