    Lost Words

     I've lost something important.
    It's gone, it seems for good.
    What I cannot say,
    It has stumbled accross my tongue
    and is hidden inside my cheek.
    I've tried to coax it out
    but so stubborn, it will not budge.
    I am at a loss for words,
    I try with pen and paper
    but it still does not sound like me.
    Will I ever find my voice again?
