    When love is new, Love is grand.

    I wrote this for my husband on Valentine's Day.  We've been together since 1995.  I still love him but we have let so much baggage get between us that we no longer know the intimacy of love. 

    Life is funny like that, the person that you couldn't live without inadvertently becomes the person you can't live with and just like that it's over.

    LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
    Do I believe in love at first sight
    Yes I do
    It was at first sight
    that I fell in love with you
    I knew of your existence
    before I ever knew your name
    You held a place in my heart
    I traveled roads of disappointments and regrets
    to prepare myself for you
    for us
    You were my destiny
    Your love purified me
    and cleansed me of my past
    There is no one before you
    Our lives are forever bound together
    You belong to me
    as I belong to you
    There is no one after you
    We are one
    Soul-mates blessed by God
    You are my strength
    when I had none
    you carried me
    You are my assurance
    when my life is in dismay
    you encourage me
    You are my light
    at my darkest moments
    you inspire me
    Our love is unconditional
    you look beyond my imperfections
    and accept me for who I am
    and support who I want to be
    I thank God for you
    my provider
    my protector
    my inspiration
    my lover
    my friend
    my consort
    How could I live life without you
    How could I know love before you
    You are the air I breathe
    the beat in my heart
    you are my life
    my love
    MY MAN

    This poem personifies the essence of a "one-of-a-kind" love. A relationship and bond, others could only dream about. In this poem you have captured the essence of that illusive dream... i.e. happiness in sharing and loving another. You have reached common ground... with this man; you truly achieved unity, balance and understanding. I've always said... "never make someone a priority in your life, who has made you only an option in theirs." and apparently you didn't. My philosophy in having a meaningful, and lasting relationship is simple; “Listen to her, be patient and considerate of her feeling; in trying to understand her...explore her mind and find out not so much what she thinks but more importantly… discover why she thinks what she thinks.” This poem reveals what and why you think the way you do; like an open book, I can read, become engrossed, and replace your characters with myself.     Truly a very beautiful and heart felt poem.You are truly blessed to have been given such a wonderful gift. I pray that perhaps someday I will find such a beautiful love as this.

    Let me just say that if you've got a man that make you feel ,all of this .Then that man better find the words to grace you with all of the love you have given him.You give me new hope in the relationship that I am in because,your words describe her.You may of just save a marriage!     WOW saved a marriage, I would have never thoguht my words could make someone feel so deeply. Love is grand and to LOVE is splendor. It is all a part of God's plan. If it is worth saving then go for it because there is nothing out there better then the real thing. God bless Deacon5.
