My "attitude" is my security.
I put up this wall for my protection.
I know I don't show it,
but I crave your affection.
I've been hurt so many times before
that I know my heart cant take
being hurt once more.
This tough shell is a facade
so people won't get too close.
Because being hurt again,
is what I fear the most.
Love dont give up on me,
I'm afraid to be happy.
What I've found in my past,
Is that love never lasts.
I'm scared to open up, afraid to let you in.
I'm hurting underneath,
this tough outer skin.
Just dig a little deeper,

even when my fear,
forces me to put up a fight.
