Love Hurts

Poem Commentary

Odd, I’m in the best relationship of my life and my twisted little writers mind sludges through the muck of those suffering, broken and disgraced... may we never just lay there

Love Hurts

Excuse me but is that blood on your cuff

Did you wipe your mouth with your sleeve again

It must be from when you sunk your teeth into my heart

I hope that it doesn’t leave a stain

Never mind me, I'll just lay here and bleed

I fear as though with this write that you have so eloquently penned that you are the little fly on my wall watching my painful life unfold. Great write!

How have you been my poetic friend - by your comments I would say growing... I know those periods and sometimes they are our greatest inspiration while being our grandest challenges. Hang in there and write to be free.

I REALLY liked this poem because it is simple and to the point. Perhaps the pain of the past helps all of us to really appreciate precious moments of the present.

Your comments are appreciated in many ways - this was a passing thought of emotions that sting but certainly can be healed... Thx Soul

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
