Lucifer

Lucifer oh Lucifer,
You tempest of souls.
You try to get me,
But you left me no holes.

I see no trap,
You've failed again.
The lakes of sorrow lap
Upon my feet.
But Lucifer oh Lucifer,
Why can't you see?
That I have a god,
That loves me quite deeply.

Lucifer oh Lucifer,
You won't win this fight.
'Cause God's army is ready,
And we walk in the light.

God's pacing his gates,
Ready to pounce.
And we won't give in,
Not even an ounce.

Lucifer or Lucifer,
You lay your traps.
But it won't trip me up,
And that is a fact.

This is cool. I like this poem a LOT, its message is so true and wonderfully expressed. Hats off to you. This is a poem I would be proud to have written.

Very beautifully written I love the word flow and the rhyme. The message is powerful in its attack against the evil one. In the world we live in today with so many evil forces having power and dominion we must constantly tell that old devil we belong to God he has no power over us we are his. Very good poem adding it to my favorites. God Bless BikemanRJ

Nice. The flow was very nicely done, simple yet strong. The only line that got to me was "Into your pitiless holes" idk why, but it just didn't seem as strong as the rest of the poem. Maybe it's just me, mostly it is. But, all in all, it was very brilliantly written. Loved it, and I'm sure God does, too. :D

i was trying to keep the flow while showing the fact that Lucifer has no pity. The holes were supposed to resemble a trap he set. But you're right it's not a strong as the rest of the poem ~the fraz
