Poem Commentary

Those long lonely silent nights that seem as though they last an enternity...

Lying In Bed

Remembering sweet memories attached,
Taking risks,
Letting go,
Opening up,
Yet holding on.

Always going away,
Always loving,
Never dying.

Realizing I’m missing you,
Realizing I’m lying in bed…

Love hurts!!!

This is definitely you, no doubt. Taking risks and letting go. This could be Susan. Especially like the ending also on this one. And I love the picture you chose. My poet, my son

J, this one used to really grab me. this is you! You would lie in bed at times for a day or so. Not long. Maybe just thinking or missing the person. Like in your poem, realizing im missing you, realizing im lying in bed. Love the love hurts after the ending. Shorter but extremely powerful. Not to mention very true. Especially the memories. I love the remembering sweet memories attached. Still the memories are a part of you and your mind. How sad honey. I hate to read your hurt and pain. It hurts yet i know it is the past. That is all i care about. not the present.

This one was at one time so true to be you! Whom I am not quite sure. Oh yes, I think I got it! I can imagine you lying there in your deep thoughts then the feeling deep inside that love lost is painful..

being alone thr mond can wonder - to lonley places- - - - - -

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
