    Mirror Holds The Past

    The future never holds a present place

    as the mirror holds the past

    as its revealed behind and future

    at the same time

    the mirror reflects

    the things behind

    always bringing past to mind

    try to escape past events

    never will my mind escape

    the mirrored image of past

    so look to the future

    for time has a place in past first

    if only this mirror was no longer

    I guess I would be no longer

    here to reflect the past

    only what’s held the future
