    Mislead

Birthed from a lioness with a hunting desire
Raised with gorillas in the line of fire
Walk through the mist in a jungle of barb wire
Mind twisted from adult visions in my adolescence
Did I grow up to fast sipping evil from a glass bottle?
Raised with the peasants who were accustomed to transgression
So many lost causes never learn how to follow through
Heavy on the throttle on this journey I ride through
A snake once told me hell be there till the end
    Pretend to be my friend
But when the grass was cut low the wickedness commenced.
Forced me to look in the mirror
    So now I see clearer.
Refuse to cut my beard off
    Walk with the weirdoes
    Dodging darts and arrows
    Corporate wants my bone marrow
    Cloning sparrows
Now through your eyes they follow
To see a different tomorrow some blood must be shed
    Lives must be lost
    Awaken the dead
    I’m no longer mislead
Through turbulent ocean currents I tread water
In hopes to reach the main land
and raise our sons and daughters

Your poetry reminds me of something OutCast would rap about. You are a true lyricist.

It feels so good to know when you graduate from fool status, because some never do(old fools). Try to educate other with your wisdom player.

"I’m no longer mislead" that one line summed up this entire poem in a perfect way. gave this a 10
