Missing

We Love you Mama.
So sorry are we to let you go.
We have to let you rest in God's hands;
But their are several thinks we like you to know.
We appreciate you Mom.
For all that you have done
when it came to carrying, sacrifice, for your family,
your love was second to none.

We will miss the sound of your voice Mama.
Since we were small,
we would hear your call echoing in the wind.

Life gave you many struggles,
but now that's at a end.

The pain the suffering,
the ups and downs are like a whisper in the wind.

Whisper softly Mama,
we will hear just what you want to say;
until we are with you in Heaven,
that blessed fine day.

My Mom passed away and at the time of her passing I found it extremely to difficult to find the good in it all. Now after finally excepting her death years later, I once cried for her death now I smile for her life and all the wonderful memories.

I wrote this poem for someone else, I lost my grandma who raised me an there is not a day that goes by that I do not miss her, and her voice.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
