Way too soon...

  • I am the sand that pours down the hour glass awaiting to know if I'm half empty or half full, i am usurped by the power of time...

Way too soon...

I am the monkey chasing the moon,
fleeing from death, it's too early, it's too soon...

Tick tock, tick tock, the clock strikes 12 hours past noon,
death bathes in the moonlight as it simmers in my doom...

All alone, I wait patiently in my room,
dark, cold, but with beauty, this must be death, I presume...

I am the monkey still chasing the moon,
for death never struck me, instead it prefered to loom...

Falling under a false sense of tranquility and then BOOM!!!
I am swept by death's scythe, like a perfect broom...

I am the monkey who chased the moon,
I am that little kid that died, and now I'm gone too soon...

Dedicated to all the children who died way to soon...

All alone, I wait patiently in my room, dark, cold, but with beauty, this must be death, I presume...good lines. this poem is one emotional ride

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
