    Poem Commentary

    A little ditty about a free spirited economics teacher who once helped me when i had nowhere to go. Took quite a hit for it too. Hope you enjoy, and help if you can. His wife is Amy Fisher in Castroville Tx. He was cremated inthe end of December 2008. Best wishes.

    Mr. O. D. Fisher
    I found out today
    that Mr. Fisher passed away.
    Diabetes won the fight
    I hope Budweiser doesn't keep you from
    seeing the light!

    He had Hornet pride through and through
    and genuinely cared about all of you.
    Remember him with fondness and not tears,
    he lived well for 61 years.

    Please help his wife Amy
    she doesnt know where to go!
    His daughter's and son still don't know.
    She lost his address list
    and is afraid they will be pissed.

    Nicky and Dawn is all I know
    and that Dawn used to raise buffalo.
    Nicky - his baby is still in Texas
    and still is close with one of his x's.

    The son's name I never knew
    just that he sat on the Lord's pew.
    They never saw eye to eye,
    but I think he would like to, know bye and bye.

    A great teacher, confidant and friend,
    so fond memories i send out to all of you.
    And, if any of you who read this, know, you know who,
    Amy will appreciate anything you can do.

    He was kewl! Got into alot of trouble, but as goes with that was a whole lotta fun. Helped me out alot. I miss him much. thanks for your generous and welcome comments. Tlady.

    A death notice that is real. No masked emotions in this one. I read this weeks ago, but somehow didn't have the clarity due to fatigue at that moment to offer any decent comment. I see others had no such handicap. Good work. Harv

    If it's funny, it's funny. Some call that "gallows humor". There's a lot of that around ICU's. It helps RN's & MD's handle the volume & the intensity of emotional stimuli. (eg It keeps you from cracking up!) Good write!
