Music within my Soul

  • It is a new year and I can't wait to read all my friends new poetry.

Music within my Soul

Music:  dances within my soul
sweet harmonies never alone
spurs songs into a golden lute
Blank canvas of the magic mute

silence speaks another note
finding flutes and horns to float
to fugues or canons and sway
waving wands conducters play

ballads live within my soul
vesper choirs carole and toll
music reveals a Master plan
sweet'ning the requiem of man.

Soft read. It is like it is part of another realm. Reaching a deeper part of the self. And sometimes causing feelings that words could never activate. Life is so interesting. Enjoyed this short piece.

Wish I could hear a melody so that not only my soul could dance to the tune but also my heart.Good rhyme, rough but lovely.

Thank you to one of my favoite poets. Sally

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
