My dawn

My dawn

My Dawn
My out look on the day was quite bleak,
so with not much hope in life,
I layed my head down.

That night in my dreams,
my life was relived,
with all it's disappointments.

So sorry was I that my hope was placed,
in one that left, and took my dreams away.

And then came the Dawn!

I opened my eyes and saw the Sun,
her smile was bright as the day,
and it made me smile,
from the first time I saw her.

I don't know why she brings me so much joy,
and I don't care.

I think I'll just enjoy being happy.

i love your simple style...comprehensive...some other writers complicate great insight in complicated words..frankly i don't understand them...that's what i like about your poem

Beautifully written! The imagery is full of enchanted scenery! An aggregate of features of a love novel! Great Piece. Thank you for sharing it! God bless!

This poem is amazing. You share your thoughts, love, and your emotions inside. Keep up the great work!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
