    MY FRIEND

    July21, 1988
    Here we are apart, my friend.
    Long miles have drawn us away,
    And yet, my friend, it's not the end,
    I'll see you another day.
    I knew the day, when we first met,
    Out friendship would have to grow.
    I felt I'ld always known you,
    Though your face, I did not know.
    Through the years, we've shared a lot;
    Our happiness hopes and fears.
    It always helped to know, my friend,
    That you were always there.

    I like this Alot. I'm half way across the world right now away from some of my closest friends in Illinios. I'm in JP, & me moving was hard, I didn't want to be miles away from them.

    I am so glad that this poem helped you a little. It is hardt o be half way across the world from friends and family. We were in Ghana West Africa for two years, and holidays were the hardest for me. The culture shock is hard enough without having to miss friends and family.

    I'm so sorry about your dear friend. I will be praying for her.

    Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
