My journey

Found myself in places never seen before
Tempted by some feeling that I don't want no more
Surrounded by these people that I hesitate to trust
Just ain't seen nobody that I want to touch
I tried to talk to one man who I thought would see my pain
Found out that I wasted time cause all he want was gain
Placed myself in God's hands determined to be free
Gave up on my own strength which always did fail me
Heard about a man named Jesus can't believe a line
He healed the sick and raised the dead and saved a friend of mine

There is a rhythmic bounce to this that makes for easy reading, yet; the message come through clearly. Hello friend!

I really liked that one. It is hard during those times when you put your trust in someone only to find out they are not who you thought they were. Great feeling to your writing.

I loved the way this work ends because it hangs. I mean it gives an implied response from the persona's struggle and conflict. The exposition establishes the experience that the persona encountered which was why the persona 'resolved' place his trust in the Almighty, but towards the end there's a new unfolding of what happens next in which the reader is ought to conclude for himself. The last 2 lines best exemplifies how this poem ties it all: the persona doubts the power of Being but in the last line enumerates all the ppower that Being can do.

Well written... But are you gay? or are you talking about trusting a friend who betrayed you?

This is the best respones that I have ever received because it made you think and assume even thou you were wrong I am not gay but it makes me think that you are or maybe you were tempted.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
